Hepato-Pancreatico-Biliary (HPB) Service
What is it?
The private Hepato-Pancreatico-Biliary (HPB) service provided at
Mercy Hospital has been set up to hasten the diagnosis and
treatment of patients with benign and malignant conditions -
including cancers - affecting the liver, bile ducts, gallbladder,
spleen and pancreas.
Who is involved?
A team approach drives the excellent clinical outcomes and
exceptional patient care for patients with benign and malignant HPB
conditions.
The service is coordinated by lead surgeon and
Liver/Pancreas/Gall Bladder/Spleen expert, Adam Bartlett, and calls upon an expert
multi-disciplinary team to provide the latest treatments for all
HPB conditions:
- Other consultant Surgeons - including and Stomach and Bowel
Specialists
- Oncologists
- Diagnostic and Interventional Radiologists
- Pathologists
- Anaesthetists
- A dedicated MercyAscot operating theatre team, dedicated ward
staff (including nurses, dietitians and physiotherapists), and
pharmacists.
